155 Units of Blood Donated in Kathua

On Sunday, September 18, 2016, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Kathua in Jammu & Kashmir, where 155 units of blood were donated by the devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Romesh Kumar IAS, District Development Commissioner, Kathua. He himself donated blood on the occasion and gave the message to community to come forward for blood donation voluntarily.

Other dignitaries present in the camp were Dr. Bharat Bhushan KAS, ADC Kathua, Dr. Kajal from Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Dr. Uttra Sambyal, Dr. V.S. Jamwal from District Hospital Kathua, Shri B.P. Singh, Zonal Incharge, Udhampur, Shri B.R. Lachotra, Former Director General Planning, Shri Ashish Singh, District Red Cross Society, Kathua and several prominent citizens of the town.

Shri Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge welcomed the guests, the donors and Sadh Sangat and said that the devotees here are inspired by the words of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that ‘blood should flow in veins and not in drains’.

Shri Satish Virdi, Sanyojak, Sant Nirankari Mandal branch Kathua, presented the vote of thanks.

The camp was held in collaboration with Blood and Transfusion Department of the Government Medical College, Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
