300 UNITS OF BLOOD DONATED IN JAMMU

With the benign blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, a massive blood donation camp was organized at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Shastri Nagar Jammu, on Sunday, April 24, 2016 celebrated as Manav Ekta Divas in remembrance of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Maharaj and other missionaries. The camp where 300 units of blood were donated, was organized in collaboration with Blood and Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Bali Bhagat, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education J&K, while Shri Danish Rana IGP Jammu was the Guest of Honour.  The devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission Jammu were fulfilling the dream of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that “blood should flow in veins not in drains”. There were anxious moments also when some devotees were not allowed to donate blood on grounds of health, age, etc. and were seen weeping and insisting for donation of blood.

The other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Smt Sarita Chauhan IAS Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Shri S P Verma President Gandhi Global Family, Shri R.C. Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Dr. Vijay Sawhney, Dr. Renu Bala and Dr Kajal from Blood Bank, Dr. Salim Rehman Director JKSACS and Shri Anil K Padha Founder Chairman, Young Blood Association.

A huge congregation of about 5,000 devotees marked the occasion where renowned dignitaries and the Mission’s preachers expressed their views. Shri Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge extended his gratitude to all for making the blood donation camp a success, with special thanks to Hon’ble Minister and IGP Jammu for sparing valuable time to grace the occasion.
