SNCF HOLDS FREE-EYE CHECK-UP CAMP IN LADIES JAIL IN DELHI

To mark the ‘World Sight Day’ on October 8, 2015, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organised a free eye check-up camp in the Ladies Jail No.6 in Tihar in Delhi. A team of four doctors and para-medical staff led by Brig. P.S. Cheema (Retd), Member Incharge Medical Health and Social Welfare Department along with Dr. Naresh Arora Coordinator, conducted the camp. The team screened 283 inmates. While 246 of them were given free spectacles on behalf of the Foundation, 173 received free medicines also.

The camp was jointly inaugurated by Pujay Mata Sawinder Ji, gracious spouse of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and Smt. Anju Mahajan, Jail Superintendent. Pujya Mata Ji also donated 5 motorized sewing machines for use by the inmates. After the inauguration of the camp Smt. Anju Mahajan showed Pujya Mata Ji the types of work being done by the inmates and different goods prepared by them. Puja Mata Ji purchased several articles to encourage the inmates.

The Jail Superintendent and other Jail authorities thanked the Foundation, particularly Pujya Mata Ji for generous donations from time to time for the welfare of the inmates of the jail.
