On October 2, 2016, while the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation carried out a country-wide cleanliness drive in collaboration with NDTV, the devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission and Sewa Dal members in Kapurthala, Punjab made their own contribution by cleaning the cremation ground in Laxmi Nagar and its surroundings.

Inaugurating the drive, Shri Inder Prakash Gaba, Gyan Pracharak said that while people do not like even passing through a cremation ground, the Nirankari devotees are creating an example to carry out the cleanliness drive here. He said that with the blessings of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, devotees are always ready to serve the community selflessly. The representatives of some other voluntary organization appreciated the spirit of devotion and dedication of the participants.
