The Sant Nirankari Public School, Sant Nirankari Colony, Delhi organized its Annual Function for the year 2014-15 on Saturday, January 3, 2015. The function was inaugurated by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission by lighting the sacred lamp.
The school is one of the 18 Public Schools run by The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation in Delhi ad some other parts of the country. The Annual Report of the school mentioned that its prime aim is to ensure physical, mental, intellectual and moral growth of its students by providing them ample opportunities for their overall development. The school lays pivotal emphasis on academic excellence which was reflected in the results . The school is proud to secure 100% result both in Class X and Class XII since the last 13 years.
Inaugurating the function, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, said that “along with formal academic education, let us inculcate in children moral values and strengthen spiritual and human aspect of their growth. This will provide firm foundation for a beautiful and magnificent edifice of their personality. Raised in this way, they will prove a blessing for society, the nation and the entire mankind. Strengthening of the spiritual and human aspects of the children’s life will go a long way to uproot social evils that we find prevailing today, because they will become responsible citizens of the county. Children are just like clay which can be moulded any way we like. Hence elders also must try to become good role models for them. ”
Referring to the role of Nirankari educational institutions, Baba Ji said that they are rendering a commendable service to society by providing education to the children of such sections of the society which otherwise find good education beyond their reach. Many parents have expressed their gratitude to the Mission, mentioning that without this platform their children would never have received good education and career prospects.
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj distributed awards to the students for their outstanding performance in various examinations and activities like sports, social work and cultural programmes. While Smt. Poonam Syal, Principal welcomed His Holiness, Pujya Mata Ji and other guests and parents of the students, Shri S.C. Talwar, Manager of the School and Additional Member Incharge of the Department of Education, Sant Nirankari Mandal, presented the vote of thanks.
