280 Units of Blood Donated in Shahabad Markanda in Haryana

On Sunday, August 7, 2016, the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Shahabad Markanda near Ambala in Haryana hosted a blood donation camp where an impressive number of 280 units of blood was donated by devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission, including many from the surrounding rural areas. The blood collecting teams came from L N J P Hospital, Kurukshetra and P G I, Rohtak.

Organised under the guidance and supervision by of the local Sanyojak Shri Surinder Pal Singh and Sewadal Sanchalak Shri S R Batra, the camp was inaugurated by Shri Tek Chand Ji, Zonal Incharge Yamunanagar. Several leading citizens of the town were also present to encourage the donors.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tek Chand Ji said that when a devotee gets an opportunity for the service of others, it shows that Satguru has been pleased and kind to him or her. Describing the donation of blood as the noblest act of service to humanity, Shri Tek Chand Ji recalled the inspiring words of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that ‘blood should flow in veins and not in drains.’
