438 UNITS OF BLOOD DONATED IN NAGPUR

 On April 24, Manav Ekta Diwas (Human Unity Day) is celebrated by the Sant Nirankari Mission every year worldwide to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, Chacha Pratap Singh Ji and other martyr saints who laid down their lives for truth, love, peace and unity. The devotees of the Mission have been organizing and participating in blood donation camps all over the world to mark the occasion with great enthusiasm and spirit of devotion.

In Nagpur, “Humanness Blood Drive” was organized under the auspices of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation on April 24, 2016, at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Panchpaoli, Nagpur with the participation of three blood banks viz. Daga Hospital Blood Bank, Mayo Hospital Blood Bank and Super Speciality Hospital Blood Bank. Saints and general public from all over Nagpur participated enthusiastically and donated 438 units of blood.

The Blood Drive was inaugurated by Rev A.S. Diwana Ji from Solan, Himachal Pradesh while Rev Jhamandas Chandwani Ji, Zonal Incharge Nagpur, Rev R.L. Sharma, Kshetriya Sanchalak, Nagpur and Rev Ghanshyamdas Ji, Sanchalak Nagpur, Smt. Shobha Bhagia from Patanjali Yog Samiti and her team were also present.

The congregation was presided over by Rev A.S. Diwana I, who shared excerpts from the glorious and inspirational life of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji. He also shared Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj’s endeavours towards spreading humanness through various social activities.

The camp was conducted with the help of the local unit of the Sant Nirankari Sewadal and Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation volunteers. The zeal, care and love of the volunteers towards Sewa and spreading His Holiness Baba Ji’s message “Blood should flow in veins, not in drains”, was infectious and seen to be believed. The Blood Banks appreciated the selfless work of the Mission and felicitated Foundation by presenting a plaque. Dr. Rahul Bankar from Mayo Blood Bank said that they look forward to Foundation Blood Drive where the organization and management is superb. They always get the highest blood units in Nagpur from Sant Nirankari Mission, he said.
