988 NIRANKARI DEVOTEES DONATE BLOOD IN MUMBAI SUBURBS

A great enthusiasm marked the three blood donation camps in Mumbai suburbs on Sunday, August 2, 2015, where a total of 988 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission donated their blood.
The camp that attracted maximum donors (648) was held in the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Nirankari Garden, Vasari Hill, Goregaon (West). It was inaugurated by the Maharashtra Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Vidya Thakur. She appreciated the Mission’s contribution towards the society through different social welfare activities continuously. The other dignitaries who visited the camp included Shri Vinod Shelar, Corporator, Shri Dilip Patel, Corporator, Smt. Angha Mhatre, Corporator and Shri Deepak Thakur, a youth leader. Shri Shambhunath Tiwari, local Sector Sanyojak greeted and thanked all the dignitaries.
The blood bank of Sion Hospital collected 220 units, Red Cross Society 222, Nair Hospital 103 and Bhagvati Hospital 103 units of blood in this camp.
The second camp was organized at Municipal School, Market Road, Kanjumarg East, where 253 units of blood were donated by Nirankari devotees. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Baba Kadam, Ex-Corporator. The blood bank of Rajawadi Hospital collected 203 units, while Cama Hospital collected 50 units of blood. Local Sector Sanyojak Shri Shridhar Patil looked after the arrangements in the camp.
The camp at Ambernath in district Thane was inaugurated by Rev. Gulabchand Nirankari, Zonal Incharge, Ulhasnagar. The J.J. Mahanagar Blood Bank collected 87 units of blood in this camp. Local MLA Dr. Balaji Kinikar, and President of Ambernath Municipal Council Km Pradnya Bansode visited the camp.
All the three camps were organized in the guidance of Dr. R.S. Yadav, Medical Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Mumbai with coordination of Smt. Prema Oberoi.
