SNCF Celebrates Its Foundation Day

On April 14, 2015, a colorful function was organized in Pradhan Ladh Singh Memorial Hall of the Sant Nirankari Public School, Sant Nirankari Colony, Delhi to celebrate the Foundation Day of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation and Nirankari Vocational Centers. While the Foundation completed its five years, the Vocational Centers celebrated their 1st Annual Day. Graced by the divine presence of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, the function was attended by all the members of the Foundation, Members of the Executive Committee of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, faculties and students of the Vocational Centers and a large number of guests including Shri Mangat Ram Singhal, former MLA.

Blessing the audience, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that the Mission’s social services started back in 1948 when it opened its first Sant Nirankari School in Paharganj in Delhi. This was the year when the organizational outfit of the Mission, Sant Nirankari Mandal was got registered. Subsequently, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji started several charitable dispensaries and educational institutions as also some libraries. Today all the institutions stand multiplied and spread across the country.

Referring to Blood Donation movement of the Mission Baba Ji said that even Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji was keen towards this noble cause and wanted to set up a blood bank. It is heartening to say that we are having our own blood bank in Vile Parle, Mumbai shortly.

Baba Ji said that it was to pursue the Mission’s social activities more vigorously that the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation was set up in April, 2010. The Foundation has already made its mark by creating awareness as also organizing activities like Run for Oneness, Cleanliness Drive, Tree Plantation and so on. Perhaps, its greatest contribution is to motivate the youth towards selfless service to the mankind through such campaigns. Otherwise, we know how the youth elsewhere is being misguided and used for violence, fanaticism and so on. Here we find them globally enthusiastic towards unity in diversity, peace – not pieces and harmony in oneness proving that not everything is lost and there is still a ray of hope. Baba Ji said that they work for a cause and not for applause.

Referring to Nirankari Vocational Centers, Baba Ji said that they are also playing an important role towards empowering youth with skills like computers, public speaking and improving public conduct through human values based on spiritual awaking. These centers are also helping them towards placement.

Earlier, Shri C.L. Gulati Ji, Secretary of the Foundation said that the Foundation is only continuing the socio-spiritual and charitable agenda of the Sant Nirankari Mandal with greater enthusiasm. Even today the volunteers of the Sant Nirankari Sewa Dal and other devotees of the Mission are participating in the Foundation’s activities with the spirit that ‘life gets a meaning if it is lived for others’. He also explained the most outstanding activities of the Foundation, particularly the efforts being made to project our spiritual angle to social welfare activities at the UN level.

Brig. P.S. Cheema, Member Incharge Medical and Social Welfare department and also a member of the Foundation informed the audience about important activities proposed to be undertaken by the Foundation in the near future, particularly in the field of health care.

Baba Ji distributed prizes to the students of Nirankari Vocational Centers for their outstanding performance. He wished them all a brilliant success in their career.
