546 UNITS OF BLOOD DONATED IN CHANDIGARH

A total of 546 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission including 82 women donated their blood at a blood donation camp held in Sant Nirankari SatsangBhawan, Sector 30-A, Chandigarh on April 24, 2016. Organized under the auspices of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the camp was dedicated to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the former Head of the Mission, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and other martyrs of the Mission.The blood collecting team led by Dr. SuchetSehdev came from PGI.

Inaugurating the camp, Shri AjeetBalaji Joshi IAS, Deputy Commissioner of the Union Territory of Chandigarh said, “I am asked to say few words and encourage the donors. But I find that they are already motivated and participating in this noble cause towards the service of community with full enthusiasm. The Mission deserves a special mention and applause for this massive effort. I would appeal to the volunteers of the Mission to participate in the social welfare activities of the Chandigarh Administration both in the urban and rural areas,so that others also learn from their spirit of discipline, dedication and voluntary service to humanity.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B.S. Cheema, Zonal Incharge Chandigarhsaid that blood donation has already become a movement. Every devotee of the Mission is inspired by the words of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that blood should flow in veins and not in drains.
