Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Organizes World Environment Day in Rishikesh

In Rishikesh, the programme started with the prayers at Triveni Ghat at 7 am in which 900 SNCF volunteers, Sewadal and other members of the mission from Rishikesh, Hardwar, Bhogpur, Raiwala and Tinli areas participated. Rev H. C. Sirohi Ji and Rev Usha Sirohi Ji represented the Head Quarters.

Blessing the participants Sh H. C. Sirohi said that besides its spiritual activities, the Mission is actively working on making the lives better for all living beings across the globe by regularly conducting Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantation drives and Cleanliness drives. He spoke on the universal message of Sant Nirankari Mission that Nirankar is an objective reality and must be embraced by doing Sewa, Satsang and Simran regularly.

Later a thorough cleanliness drive was undertaken at Triveni Ghat, Mukherjee Nagar, Nagar Palika and Main Highway. Tree plantation was also done at Nagar Palika Garden at the main Hardwar Road. Then Oath ceremony was performed where everybody pledged to keep the environment clean and free of plastics. The Chief Guest to the events were Sh Anshuman Gupta, Deputy Director ( Administration ) of AIIMS Rishikesh and Dr Himanshu Aeron , Director, Seema Dental College, Rishikesh. Sh Anshuman Gupta spoke over the plastic pollution and counseled everybody to protect our earth of plastic menace. Dr Himanshu Aeron reminded the participants of the pious words of HH Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that pollution both internal and external is harmful. Dealing over the plastic menace he suggested exploring alternatives and reducing dependence on plastic which is ruining our oceans and marine life.

The programme was marked by street play ( Nukkad Natak ) by the volunteers to inspire people to save the environment from pollution by planting and saving trees as also by stopping use of plastic. SNCF also distributed cotton bags to the general public to stop the use of plastic in their daily life.
