Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Organizes World Environment Day in Dharamshala

In Dharamshala, the programme started with the prayers at Dari at 7.00 am in which 800 SNCF volunteers, Sewadal and other members of the mission from Baijnath, Maranda, Paror, Nagrota Bagwan, Dadh, Kangra, Kareri, Shahpur, Jawali and Hamirpur  areas participated. Rev Joginder Kaur Ji represented the Head Quarters. Rev Duni Chand ji, Zonal Incharge was also present.

Blessing the participants Rev Behan Joginder Kaur Ji said that the Foundation and Mission are regularly conducting such programmes for the welfare of our society. There is a need to connect the people with such projects so that the environment improves. The nature is full of diversities but Oneness is always present at the core which we address as God Almighty. Once we understand both these issues, we start leading a better life.

Later a thorough cleanliness drive was undertaken at Gandhi Park to HPRTC Workshop and Dumping Site via Bus Stand. Again from Kotwali Bazar to Bus Stand via Taxi Stand on both sides of the road was cleaned. Tree plantation was also done at Dari Bhawan. Village Gamru on Meclod Ganj road was completely cleaned and the garbage brought to the dumping ground. Further Dalai Lama Mandir area at Meclod Ganj area was also cleaned. Centre Point between Kachehri and Kotwali was also deeply cleaned.

The programme was marked by street play ( Nukkad Natak ) at the major locations inspiring people to save environment from pollution especially plastic pollution. Goodie bags were gifted to the Deputy Commissioner, SSP and additional SP by visiting their offices. All these officers were briefed about the SNCF programme today which all of them appreciated. Cotton cloth bags were also distributed among the public to inspire them stop using plastic.

The concluding programme was arranged in Police Ground where Shri Kamal Saroch, ADC Kangra was the chief guest. Nukkad Natak was also staged here. A pledge was also sworn here against the use of plastic and keeping our environment clean by Rev T R Dogra, Kshetriya Sanchalak.  The ADC in his address called upon the people to plant trees for a better future. He appreciated the spirit of the pledge and was all praise for the todays programme by SNCF. The global warming and the shortage of water is affecting our society adversely, so such awareness drives must be continued.
