BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANIZED IN LALRU NEAR CHANDIGARH

On August 16, 2015, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a blood donation camp in Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Lalru near Chandigarh. A total of 392 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission, including 29 women donated their blood.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri N.K. Sharma, Chief Parliamentary Secretary for Industry and Commerce, Punjab while Shri Shiv Kumar, SDM Dera Bassi and Dr. B.S. Cheema, Zonal Incharge Chandigarh were also present. The blood collecting teams came from the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh and Government Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sharma said that we cannot imagine life without blood. The donation of blood, therefore, is the noblest service of humanity. He applauded the Mission in general and the donors in particular for the voluntary spirit with which this campaign is being carried out.
Dr. B.S. Cheema said that the overwhelming enthusiasm of the devotees is there due to the inspiration provided by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj who says – Blood should flow in veins and not in drains. He also gave an account of other social welfare activities of the Foundation across the country.
Shri Sarbjit Singh Bhatti, Mukhi, Branch Lalru thanked the chief guest and the galaxy of other dignitaries for encouraging the donors with their esteemed presence.
