Sunday, Feb 22, 2015: With the divine blessings of His Holiness Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj, a cleanliness drive was organized by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. With an objective to clean the river banks, beaches and other water bodies, the devotees from all parts of the world participated in huge numbers. In Delhi, the drive was conducted along the banks of River Yamuna and its Ghats viz. Ram Ghat, Sur Ghat and Nigambodh Ghat. The devotees and volunteers worked tirelessly with utmost dedication to clean the banks of Yamuna and its surroundings.
The effort of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation was also acknowledged by Civic authorities and TV Media. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Mohan Bhardwaj, Chairman (NDMC, Standing Committee) said, ‘The contribution of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation towards building a cleaner and healthier society is truly commendable and it sets an example for others to follow’. The volunteers also carried placards during the drive citing ‘Swachh Paani, Swasth Prani’ to spread awareness about the role of water cleanliness in building a healthier society.
