SUNDRANI CHARITABLE EYE HOSPITAL, AGRA

Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation took over the management of Sundrani Charitable Eye Hospital Samiti, Agra in June 2011. At the time of take over the hospital was in a very dilapidated condition and lacked infrastructure. Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation took the responsibility and carried out the face lifting of the Hospital. Various machines and equipments, like Phaco machine, Scan machine, Auto refractor machines, dental chairs, slit lamp etc. were purchased. Since then about 80,000 patients were screened and about 4000 cataract operations have successfully carried out. The services were not only limited to the eye treatment but with the passage of time Dental and Physiotherapy patients are also treated here. About 3,700 physiotherapy patients and about 2,200 dental patients have got treatment. For the smooth functioning of the hospital, SNCF also took responsibility for the payments towards the salary of medical and non-medical staff. In last six years SNCF has spent about Rs. 37,50,000/- for the smooth running of the Hospital.

Ever since, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has taken over the management of the Sundrani Charitable Eye Hospital Samiti, Agra in June 2011 the hospital is showing very encouraging results.

RELIEF TO THE BLIND

INDIAN BLIND RELIEF ASSOCIATION, DELHI

Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation took initiative to empower the Blind by associating with The Indian Blind Relief Association, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, by providing them training for music, both vocal and instrumental. More than 200 students have been trained in the field of music by our two expert music faculty provided by SNCF. SNCF volunteers also helped the association for their annual National Sports and Cultural Meet held in Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi. On 14th December, 2016, SNCF had organized a music night and healthy meal for the blind, to rejuvenate them after their various physical activities at Indian Blind Relief Association, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, New Delhi. SNCF have spend about Rs. 4,00,000 towards the payment of salaries of faculties and purchase of musical equipments for the Blind students.

EDUCATIONAL AID TO THE BLIND

SNCF is providing educational aid to a few Blind Girl students of Smt. Kamla Mehta Dadar School for the Blind, Mumbai. From time to time SNCF is also visiting the other schools in Mumbai for necessary support as and when required.

EYE CAMPS

SNCF organizes Eye Check up camps through out the country on regular basis. In Mumbai, Maharashtra, regular camps has been scheduled every month for Eye Check up, in association with the famous eye hospitals such as K B Haji Bacchuali Eye Hospital and J J Metro Hospital on first Sunday of every month where about 50 patients from Mumbai and near by cities attend. Till now about 95 eye camps have been organized where approximately 25,000 patients have been screened out of which 15,000 successful operations have been conducted. Caring for the blind is not confined to their treatment, SNCF also takes care of their recreation, by taking them out for day excretions.

Eye camps have also been organized in different cities of India including Jails like Tihar Jail etc, where after check up medicines and thousands of spectacles are distributed to the needy.
