Mission under takes Cancer Awareness walk in Houston, USA

With the blessings of Nirankari Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Mission, hosted a 5K Cancer Awareness walk in Bay land Community Park in Houston on February 18, 2017 from 8:00am to 9:30 am, to construct a community of peace, compassion and humanity. This has been a joint leap in providing noble services to the society and to help them emotionally, spiritually and financially. This fund raising activity proceeds went to M.D. Anderson Hospital.

People felt good as they were walking for fitness, celebrating and sharing moments by joining a charity walk. Everyone was wearing symbolic blue shirts. Before walk, youth took the pledge for humanity. Young children recited the song, ‘Heal the world”. The slogans were recited for fighting cancer. ‘Yes we can’ “Never give up”.

Dr. Rachna Bhala and Dr. Harpreet talked about the patient education. They described about the tips for cure and the steps to prevent infections and also explained the details of the disease which may help make this challenging time easier to get through. Indo American society was a part of this good cause. They collaborated for Bone marrow drive. Each action of the event reminded to be kind to each other and the thought and feeling encouraged to join hands for such noble cause. The local saints and youth put their heart and soul to make it successful. Rev Sheelu Ji the moving spirit behind the scene, thanked everyone for their support.
