Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Organizes World Environment Day, 2018 in Ooty

World Environment Day 2018 was organized by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation on 5th June in Ooty by undertaking a massive cleanliness drive at strategic points and also planting saplings. Over 150 volunteers of SNCF and Sewa Dal gathered at Saint Stephen Church and Payakara garden and started the cleanliness and tree plantation drives in the auspicious company of Rev Vivek Mauji ji from Delhi Head Quarter and Sh Suneel RatraJi, Zonal Incharge from Bengaluru.

Madam Innocent Divya, IAS, Commissioner, Ooty graced the occasion with her presence and reached Saint Stephen Church at 10 am. She was all praise for the selfless activities of the SNCF. Certain school children also joined the volunteers at this point. In order to curb the use of Plastics in day to day life, cotton bags were also distributed amongst the Public by SNCF. Pine forest area was also widely cleaned by the volunteers. Here one south film actor Mr Vivek also joined the volunteers and continued the drive. Road from Pine Forest shooting site to the 9th mile stone was cleaned and plantation was also done there.

Deputy Director CR Satyanarayanan from Anthropology Survey of India also participated in the drive at this stage and lauded the efforts of the SNCF and Mission.
