Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Organizes World Environment Day in Nainital
In Nainital, the programme started with the prayers at Flat Ground at 7.30 am in which 1500 SNCF volunteers, Sewadal and other members of the mission from Nainital, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Bagheshwar, Moradabad etc areas participated. Rev S S Nasheela Ji represented the Head Quarters.
Blessing the participants Sh Nasheela Ji said that we in the Mission treat Brahmgian as the base of spirituality. Besides its spiritual activities, the Mission is actively improving the lot of our society by regularly conducting Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantation drives and Cleanliness drives
Later a thorough cleanliness drive was undertaken at Drainage (as requested by MC ), Sukhtal, Naini Lake periphery, Snow view, Flat Parking and other parts of periphery. Tree plantation was also done in Fountain Park, Nainital. The first sapling was planted by Mr Vinod Suman, IAS, District Magistrate. Then Oath ceremony was performed by Sh Vinod Suman where everybody pledged to keep the environment clean of pollution and plastics. Earlier the programme was inaugurated jointly by Mr Vinod Suman and Mr Parkash Chand, CDO. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr Rohtas Sharma, Executive Officer, Mr Harbir Singh, ADM Jheel Pradhikaran, Ms Lata Arya, Tax Superintendent etc. Goodie bags were gifted to all the dignitaries by SNCF. A lot of enthusiasm was observed amongst the volunteers as 15 Bolero Trucks full of plastic and garbage were picked up and handed over to the MC.
The programme was marked by street play ( Nukkad Natak ) by the volunteers to inspire people to save the environment from pollution by planting and saving trees as also by stopping use of plastic. SNCF also distributed cotton bags to the general public to stop the use of plastic in their daily life. Also present on the occasion were Rev Raj Kapoor Ji, Zonal Incharge, Jaspur, Rev Gurdyal singh, Rev Deepak Wahi, Rev Gurnam Singh all Kshtriya Sanchalaks.
