A blood donation camp was organized at Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday, August 23, 2015 under the auspices of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. While 133 volunteers registered for the donation of blood, only 71 of them including 15 women could be obliged after pre-screening.
The camp was preceded by an awareness rally on August 22 in which more than 150 followers of the Sant Nirankari Mission participated. It was flagged off by Dr. P. Vishwa Kannan (IFS) Director Tourism. He appreciated the spirit of devotion and dedication amongst the followers of the Mission for such a noble cause. Rev Arjan Sigh Ji, Zonal Incharge Kolkata gave the details of various social welfare activities of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation and said that the Mission is already one of the largest blood donating organizations in the country.
